La Ribagorza – in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees

Casa La Copiasa is located in the Ribagorza region, on the border of Aragón and Catalonia, between the valleys of Benasque and Boí. The area is an oasis of peace, space and pure mountain air, with spectacular nature that invites you to be outdoors.

In summer, you can hike, mountain bike, climb, do via ferratas or paragliding. Rivers and mountain lakes offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, rafting or just relaxing by the water. In winter, you can be on the slopes of Cerler or Boí Taüll in no time – two well-equipped ski resorts without mass tourism.

Culture is also nearby: the Romanesque churches of the Vall de Boí, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, bear witness to a rich history. Add the local cuisine and you have a place where nature, sport and culture come together – in every season.

There are three impressive nature reserves in the area: Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park with its deep gorges and spectacular waterfalls, the rugged Aigüestortes with crystal-clear mountain lakes and granite peaks and the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, where you will find the highest mountain in the Pyrenees – the Aneto (3404 m). Ideal for hiking, climbing and enjoying unspoilt nature.

On land, on water and in the air: the area offers extensive opportunities for active outdoor sports such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, kayaking and canyoning – for every season and every level.

In winter, the region turns into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Boí Taüll, is a quiet and well-organised ski resort in the middle of the Aigüestortes National Park. Cerler, near lively Benasque, is larger and more varied, ideal for both piste skiers and freeriders. Cross-country skiers can head to Llanos del Hospital, where well-maintained trails wind through the snowy landscape of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.
